Portugal
Friday, November 23rd, 2007Portugal is a small country, but at the same time a popular tourist destination, with a great number of visitors arriving in the country each year. Lisbon is the capital of Portugal, it is one of Europe’s most beautiful, gorgeous cities. The city is built on seven hills stretching along the River Tagus. There are a lot things to see and do in Portugal, whether your preference is playing golf along the coast, or relaxing by the pool in a luxury hotel with charming Portuguese escorts. You can go shopping in some of the most luxurious boutiques in Europe, or explore ancient palaces and museums, galleries.
Portugal also has fantastic scenery and lovely villages to visit which you have to visit, as well as some of the best, magnificent and luxurious beaches on Europe, not to mention the islands of the coast, Funchal on Madeira is a beautiful relaxing, pleasurable place to visit with a character all of its own, while further into the Atlantic, the pretty Azores are an attractive, lovely place to spend time getting away from everyday routine.
You can spend your evenings in bars, restaurants and partying with beautiful Portuguese females and males. Nightlife in Portugal can be found in Lisbon where there are a lot of clubs with the best international music and with many attracting top DJs. But don’t be surprised if you arrive in a luxurious nightclub at midnight and it’s empty, it does not mean that everyone will spend their evening at home, they haven’t even come out yet. The Portuguese ladies and guys like to party late , from dawn until… dawn!
If you are in Portugal you have to try very delicious local food and drinks. Amongst delicious fresh seafood, the local restaurants serve up British food and beer in pints. You can start your day in Portugal with a bica (strong black coffee). The national, very tasty dish, caldo verde will be available in any region. Try a vinho verde, a port, or a madeira, or sample some more delicious and unusual drinks: nikita (beer, white wine, and ice cream) and poncha (lemon, honey, and a liquor called agurdente) are two well known examples.
So, if you are planning to visit Portugal on vacation, spend your days hot, chilly. Enjoy every minute of a day in this fantastic lovely country full of attractions, pretty Portuguese women and pleasurable, relaxing places.
